Improve your service! Service to customers is limited by how much time their pickup driver has. Pickup/delivery/courier companies tend to push their drivers to their limits, expecting 12 hours of work in an 8 hour day. This directly affects service to the customers. When do I send a message?
- If you don't need a pickup. Send a message as soon as you know for sure you have nothing to ship out that day. The couple of seconds it takes to send a message will save your driver time, keeping them from driving to your location for nothing.
- If you are not ready to be picked up. If your normal pickup time is 4:00, for example, and you know you won't be ready until 4:15, send your driver a message. They can probably make another pickup or two before they get to your location.
- If you have more than usual. If you normally ship out 3 boxes, for example, but today you have 3 pallets of boxes, send your driver a message. Giving your driver a "heads up" can greatly help them make better service to you and the rest of their customers, allowing them to adjust their load, schedule, etc.
- if your driver needs to bring their hand truck or supplies. If your driver needs to bring you shipping supplies or should bring their hand truck, let them know!
- If you are ready early. If your pickup time is 5:00, for example, but today you are ready to be picked up at 4:00, send your driver a message. Around 5pm is the most hectic time for a driver to be making pickups as this is when most companies are closing. It is usually easier for your driver to make your pickup earlier in the day.

When your driver receives these time-saving text messages from you and their other customers on a daily basis, it saves them a lot of time. They can then use this extra time to make better service for everyone, including you! It's really a "win, win" situation.

Recommendations:
- Use our service only with pickup drivers assigned to your pickup account. It won't do any good to send a message to a driver that is not even making your pickup.
- If you use our Pickup Messenger program, set the reminder time to at least a half an hour before your scheduled pickup time.
